About LOLIANO
Born on the beautiful island of Oahu, Hawaii, at the Tripler Army Medical Center, Jaimelyn Purves grew up with the spirit of aloha and a profound sense of resilience. As a proud Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing woman, Jaimelyn’s unique perspective on life and its challenges has shaped her into a compassionate advocate in the mental health field. She is the founder and owner of LOLIANO, a mental health business based in Minnesota that serves clients through telehealth. The name LOLIANO, meaning "Transformation" in Hawaiian, embodies Jaimelyn’s mission to help individuals embrace healing and renewal.
With over nine years of professional experience in the mental health and addiction field, Jaimelyn has worked tirelessly to support clients of all ages facing complex challenges. Her passion for this work stems from her own personal journey. Having overcome her own struggles with mental health, she proudly celebrates over 15 years of sobriety. This deeply personal experience has become the foundation of her commitment to helping others overcome their own obstacles and find strength in their paths to recovery.
Jaimelyn is dedicated to making mental health care accessible and inclusive. She provides therapy services in both American Sign Language (ASL) and spoken English, ensuring that her clients feel heard and understood. Her expertise lies in addressing mental health and addiction, with a particular focus on how trauma often serves as a gateway to these struggles. Trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), she aspires to expand her services, offering specialized trauma therapy for the D/deaf and Hard-of-Hearing community.
LOLIANO was born out of Jaimelyn’s desire to create a safe and empathetic space where clients can navigate their challenges and build the tools they need to thrive. She is deeply committed to empowering individuals, especially those in the d/Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing community, to heal, grow, and reclaim control over their mental health journeys. Guided by the Hawaiian value of transformation, Jaimelyn strives to foster positive change for everyone she serves through LOLIANO, honoring the belief that “The time for change is now.”
